What do you enjoy about being a brand ambassador?
I am so thankful to be a part of a unique community of like-minded people that hold a strong belief that creating a healthy well-balanced lifestyle can be attainable, affordable & fun! Being an individual who is anti diets & focuses on creating a balanced, maintainable lifestyle I love being able to stand behind a brand whose values are the same as mine!
My number one goal as an individual in the health field is to leave the world a little better than I found it and if I can help one individual on their health journey than I’ve done my job! I hope as a brand ambassador I can help share the message that real food makes your mind and body feel real good.
What is your current passion project?
The weekly memory project -practicing gratitude
I started to practice gratitude and one of my little tools are collecting memories in a jar. I made a commitment that each week I would write down a memory, an accomplishment, or an activity so at the end of the year I could look back and see what a memorable year I've had.
It’s so easy to let negative thoughts consume you and this trick has helped me find the good even in the most boring or just plain out stressful weeks. I’ve written down the simplest things such as a coffee date, seeing a broadway play, concerts, dinner with a friend, to important events - trying different workouts for the first time, pushing myself out of my comfort zone, becoming vegetarian,- you name it, it’s in my memory jar!
All of these memories, thoughts and experiences spark gratitude for me. When I’m feeling down, I’ll randomly pick a memory from the bowl - read it and remind myself how fortunate I am to have had all of these experiences. This has made me become so much more appreciative of the day to day experiences.
What you would suggest to people in order to live a "balanced" life?
Keep it simple
In the crazy health scene, we are continuously bombarded with overwhelming & sometimes conflicting messages about what we “should” and “should not” do. I think the most important thing to do is to sometimes filter out the noise & do what makes your mind, body & soul feel good! You know your body better than anyone else so use it, move it, listen to it - keep it simple!
