What are Superfoods?

What are Superfoods?

December 04, 2018

By definition, a superfood is a "nutrient-rich food considered to be especially beneficial for health and well-being." When co-founders, Chris Thowe and Kyle FitzGerald, set off to make eating your fruits and vegetables easy, superfoods are where they turned.

The USDA recommends people eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each and every day and 90% of Americans are not reaching this requirement. This is why we created Balance the Superfood Shot. Each 2oz. shot, no matter the blend, offers half your day's servings of fruits and vegetables.

So, the big question is... how do we get all those servings in a 2 oz shot. The answer is simple. First we chose nutritionally dense foods (aka superfoods). Using the ANDI score as a guide, we picked highly nutritious and organic ingredients. Next, we remove 80% of the water, allowing those fruits and vegetables to fit easily into our shelf-stable, easy-to-carry, and recyclable bottle.

It's that simple. Balance the Superfood Shot allows you to increase the amount of organic fruits and vegetables you eat in each day in the easiest way. Ready to get the nutrients you need?
